That would be pretty hard on the leather (all of it, not just the dash). Personally if that is the case I'd consider minimizing all of the leather, including opting for speed cloth. Either way, the sun screen option, tint (which I don't personally like) and a very-well fitting front sun shade are musts...

You can get clear UV film that blocks like 97% of the entire spectrum. Any slight tint and you can block more. Best option.

I have a 2001 e39 m5 with a full leather dash. It's got 127k miles on it, extensive time in the sun, and the leather dash has had significant sun exposure not it's been garaged at night/mornings/evenings. It was a southern vehicle from 2001-2012.
There is one area that I think is showing wear from simply UV breakdown. I'm guessing it may have dried out a bit there as well before I bought it. Otherwise is looks excellent. It doesn't wear like a seat - it doesn't get scuffed: it either very very lightly wrinkles from contracting or the surface breaks down a bit. Either way, treat it right and it'll be fine. |

I used Adams products on my 135. Their leather conditioner actually has a UV protectant and is SPF 65. I used this on my seats. Their interior detailer also has UV protectant in it as well. Great products

You can not blame coffee on anything! That is a deal breaker in our beautiful friendship. I saw on my car washing trip (that went to hell, now I have no wipers thanks to Tinyman, and I spend an hour listening about the dinosaur cops eating people) a brand new X3 in AW with a horrible black thing on the hood. I had to follow that woman around just to see it from every angle possible.

I would not talk to you, if I had suspected you for a mixer. Coffee is the first thing which will be under my regimes ruling after I take over the universe. Everyone who wants milk, sugar, cream, or some flavor, will live without any while working in a Starbucks. And of course the capitol punishment, forking. the last one is the reason I'm getting the job. |

That sounds particularly intriguing. It sounds like you're quite the caged animal beckoning to be set free. Come play in my jungle. Lol!

I used it on my old car (135i) front windshield.
It is pretty clear film with slight blue tint. Most people won't be able to tell if there is tint on the front. However, sometimes under some light condition, it gives this rainbow (like shiny chrome) effect that you may or may not like. It does gives pretty good protection again sun/heat. Your other option is 3M Crystalline 90. I don't have any personal experience with this, but it looks like very clear film with good protection. Only downside may be its high cost. |

I would quote the wise words of Misfits Attitude, but pg is the form welcomed here, so google will tell you.
Well done us ones again, from dashes to this. I may have to check when was the last time I wrote anything remotely on topic to this forum. |

I suppose it's hard to stay on topic when there isn't much of substance to discuss at this time. I can only take so many discussions on carbon fiber roofs, carbon ceramic brakes, "Will I get tired of [insert color here]?", etc.
