New (to me) 2011 Interlagos Blue M3

All,

I just sold my 2003.5 Jet Black/Cinnamon M3 and bought this gorgeous 2011 Interlagos Blue/Black Carbon Fiber M3. What a machine! This is my third M3, the first being a 1997 Arctic Silver/Black M3.

I do most of my own work and I look forward to learning/sharing about this new adventure.

Car looks great! Looks like you've experienced most most generations of M3. Glad to see you got yourself into an E92!

So, I have LeMans Blue and it looks almost the same as this car's color. Which is darker? It's a bit odd that they sold two such similar colors for the same model year! I'd take either one but the LeMans Blue does have a nice glow in the sunlight.

Congrats, dude. That is one of my favorite colors! The other one being, Jerez Black.

Thanks All. Will be changing DCT and Diff fluid soon. Also, I'm looking for a second set of OEM 220's or the CSL style wheels.

Awesome ride. I've got a '13 E93 with the same color combo. It's sweet! Congrats!

Of the two, I prefer LeMans to Interlagos--I think LMB is a bit darker and more metallic. It's always been my favorite, but I believe (and I very well could be wrong) they stopped offering LMB in 2011 and replaced it with IB in 2012. Either way, they are both awesome, unique blue rides, and really, with that engine, does the color really matter?!?!

Right, once you're driving the M3, the color is not too important... that engine and the way it revs/sounds does encourage a bit of hooliganism. Seems to be one of the things that makes me pull the trigger on buying a car-- the engine speaks to me and is like a devil on your shoulder rooting for bad behaviour! Between this car, my Viper, and my Ducati, I am doomed! Well... doomed in a good way...

Great looking car. Would love to hear your comparo thoughts on driving the 46 vs 92.

For me the 92 feels way lighter on the clutch and steering and the 46 a little more raw in a good way. Neither better than the other but I think a good bit different.

Great color. You're gonna love the car, especially coming from an E46 M3.
I also came from an E46 & the first thing you notice is power delivery is like "an S54 on steroids".
Steering & clutch feel (if you have 6MT) is more light and slightly more vague initially, but nothing detrimental to the experience.
