The car is barely DD capable with them - they range from "ok" to "ok, this is scary" in the rain. You're not daily driving in this trim. On the normal tires, this car will be even more pedestrian than it already is. I not know who you are, I don't even think about you at all. |

You summed up my reasons for ordering a G87 - and I didn't even realized those were my reasons till I read your comment. Thanks.

Has anyone actually had a BAD track experience yet? Sure the steering is numb, but it's not hurting lap times. Are there ANY negative track experiences so far? Fuel starve, spun crank hubs, throttle lift problems, etc? |

Ha! You are not wrong. I hate to admit it, but Porsche is becoming the clear choice for enthusiast autos as BMW and BMW M appear to be moving further and further away from The Ultimate Driving Machine. Edit, the problem with Porsche in regards to the 718 or even the 992 is the nickel and dime of the options and then the final MSRP. Is it really worth that much more over something that is nearly as competent? No, not really, but it tends to stroke our egos and who doesn’t like that? For the enthusiast who can't afford a $100K weekend-only car, the M still fills a vital role of being a daily driver+ trackable car. Something Porsche has gradually given up on as they go boutique. The days of the cheap early Boxsters are gone. |

Ha, 4 pages already. You people don’t disappoint.
The worst thing about the g87 (other than the looks), are the owners. |

But, it's not really that hard to make a 2-seater $120K car perform well on the track and feel sporty on the street. I am much more impressed by what Chevy did with the SS1LE and BMW did with the G87. Make a 4-seater with a big trunk turn these incredible lap times for $50K and $70K respectively. Now, *that* is hard. P.S. and so is having the CTS-V-BlackWing and M5CS 2 ton 5 seaters turn incredible lap times. The M5 time on that tight track is just insane. Respect for that.

they put the g87 m2 and supra on the same tire, both manual, both driven by a professional. supra came out on top.

However between the GT4 Cayman and the G87 would be actually interesting to see the outcome, since it is a less calculated comparison. |

I kid. The Supra is truly a great car. If someone only needs two seats and no trunk, I wouldn't recommend the G87. That's not its strength. |
